Projects
BYDP delivers a wide range of youth, community and wellbeing projects across Bradford. Our programmes support children, young people, families and adults through education, physical activity, mentoring and community engagement. We work in partnership with schools, community groups, mosques and local agencies to create safe, positive opportunities for all.
Youth Projects (Ages 5–14)
Locations: Green Lane Primary
Frizinghall Community Centre
St Martin’s Church Haworth Rd, Bradford BD9 6LL
Our weekly youth sessions provide a safe and structured environment where young people can build confidence, improve wellbeing, and develop social skills. Activities include sports, arts, games, discussions, and personal development workshops. We work closely with schools and families to support attendance, behaviour, and emotional resilience.
Homework Club
We work in partnership with City Tutoring to offer tailored study support and homework help.
We also collaborate with Prism School to provide personalised 1:1 educational support for learners who need that extra guidance.
Holiday Activities (Ages 5-14)

We deliver free, fun and accessible programmes during school holidays, offering sports, creative activities, trips and wellbeing sessions. These programmes help children stay active, make friends and enjoy positive experiences during school breaks. Many sessions also include healthy meals and family support.
Volunteering & Training (Ages 16–18)

We support young people to become youth volunteers, peer mentors, and positive role models within their communities. Our training opportunities help young people develop leadership skills, communication, teamwork, and confidence. Many of our current staff began their journey as BYDP volunteers.
Women’s Support Programmes
Location: Heaton Health Hub, Heaton Medical Practice, Haworth Road BD9
We run weekly programmes for women, including a Study Circle and employment support sessions. These groups help women build skills, gain confidence, access training and connect with others in a safe and supportive environment.
50+ Men’s Health & Wellbeing

Delivered through local mosques and a walking group at Lister Park, this project supports men aged 50+ to stay active, improve their wellbeing and reduce social isolation. Activities include walking, light exercise, health discussions and community engagement.
